I played 10 real money game apps for 3 months. Dream11. MPL. Winzo. Loco. PlayerzPot. MyTeam11. Fantasy sports. Rummy. Poker.
- Here's my balance sheet:
- Money deposited: ₹10,000
- Money withdrawn: ₹1,200
- Net loss: ₹8,800

My friend won ₹50,000 on Dream11 last year. He posted on Instagram. Everyone celebrated.
What he didn't post: He had lost ₹40,000 over the previous 2 years.
Net profit: ₹10,000 over 2 years. ₹5,000 per year. ₹416 per month. Less than minimum wage.

I decided to test real money game apps myself. 3 months. ₹10,000 budget.
Here's what happened.
1. The Math – Why 95% Lose Money
Real money game apps take 10-20% of every contest as "platform fee".
Example: 100 players pay ₹100 each = ₹10,000 pool. App takes 15% = ₹1,500. Remaining ₹8,500 distributed to winners.
If 10 players win, they share ₹8,500. Average win ₹850 per winner.
But each winner paid ₹100 entry. Net profit ₹750.
But for every winner, there are 90 losers. Losers lose ₹100 each.
So 10 winners win ₹750 each. 90 losers lose ₹100 each.
The app always wins. The winners are few. The losers are many.
2. My 3-Month Experiment – App by App
Dream11 (Fantasy Cricket) Deposited: ₹3,000. Played 50 contests. Won: ₹800. Withdrew: ₹500 (minimum withdrawal). Net loss: ₹2,500.
MPL (Multiple Games) Deposited: ₹2,000. Played ludo, fruit chop, fantasy. Won: ₹300. Withdrew: ₹0 (minimum ₹1,000). Net loss: ₹2,000 (money stuck).
Winzo Deposited: ₹2,000. Played carrom, pool, fantasy. Won: ₹400. Withdrew: ₹200 (minimum ₹500 – couldn't reach). Net loss: ₹1,800.
Loco (Fantasy) Deposited: ₹1,500. Played fantasy cricket. Won: ₹200. Withdrew: ₹0. Net loss: ₹1,500.
PlayerzPot (Fantasy Sports) Deposited: ₹1,500. Played fantasy football. Won: ₹250. Withdrew: ₹0. Net loss: ₹1,250.
Total deposited: ₹10,000. Total withdrawn: ₹1,200. Net loss: ₹8,800.
3. The Addiction Trap – Why You Keep Playing
Real money game apps use psychology:
Near wins – You lose by 2 runs. You think "next time I'll win."
Small wins – You win ₹50. You deposit ₹200 to win more.
Leaderboards – You see top winners. You think you can be there.
Notifications – "Your friend just won ₹5,000!" (But they don't show losses.)
This is gambling. Legal gambling. But gambling.
What you should do: Set a monthly loss limit. ₹500 max. Once reached, stop. Never chase losses.
4. The Winners – Who Actually Makes Money?
Only 3 types of people make money on real money game apps:
Professional players who play 8 hours daily, analyze data, use multiple accounts. (Less than 1% of players)
App owners – they take 10-20% of every contest.
Referrers – people who get paid for bringing new players.
You are not a professional. You have a job or studies. You cannot compete with someone who plays 8 hours daily.
5. What You Should Do Instead
If you enjoy fantasy sports:
Play only free contests. No money.
Or play with ₹10 entry max. Treat as entertainment, not investment.
If you want real money:
Learn a skill (copywriting, design, coding).
Join Fiverr or Upwork.
Earn ₹500/hour guaranteed. No luck. No house edge.
Real Example – The One Winner I Know
My cousin won ₹1 lakh on Dream11 once. He played for 2 years. Total deposited: ₹1.5 lakh. Total withdrawn: ₹1.2 lakh. Net loss: ₹30,000.
He still plays. He still loses. But he posts every win on Instagram.
Don't believe the Instagram posts. They don't show the losses.
Have you played real money game apps? Did you win or lose?
Tell me the truth. I won't judge.
