There’s so much “headline news of india today” that it’s impossible to read it all. So I’ve learned to choose.
My rule: I read one national story, one international story, and one local story. That’s it.
- National story: Something that affects policy, economy, or millions of lives. A new law, a budget, a major infrastructure project.
- International story: Something that affects India or has global significance. A war, a trade deal, a climate summit.
- Local story: Something from my city or state that impacts daily life. A new metro line, a water shortage, a local election.
The rest—the gossip, the crime, the political squabbles—I skip.
This keeps me informed without overwhelming me. I also set a time limit: 20 minutes for reading, plus 10 minutes for notes or reflection.
Try it. You’ll be surprised how little you miss. And you’ll have more time for things that matter.
